JUST ARRIVED - ASSOS FALL CYCLING GEAR !!

Posted: Nov 18 2011 in

New fall riding gear from Assos has just arrived.  May we recommend: The Assos  rS.sturmPrinz (rainShell jacket), The hK.sturmNuss (Knicker) rainBootie, rainGlove to make this the perfect rainproof outfit!

Assos Fall Cycling Gear

The sturmPrinz can also be used as an insulating shell, wearing it for long rides in cold temperatures. This is the ideal rain jacket for high performance cycling. It captures the optimum balance between insulation and protection, without jeopardizing your performance, to provide you with a functional, intelligently engineered, cycling-specific anti- rain device that works! So now, in the morning, when you look out of the window and see that it’s a typical Vancouver morning; damp and cold, with more rain on the way... grab your sturmPrinz and have a good ride!

THE CONSTRUCTION

  • Main fabric featured is TRITON, a brand new ASSOS Textile Laboratory development specifically engineered for the one and only sturmPrinz cycling-competition-specific rain jacket.
  • Elastic shoulder inserts for increased freedom of movement.
  • Ventilated upper rear panel.
  • “Pocket slots” on the lower rear panel: two cleverly positioned openings over your jersey/jacket pockets. (We are especially proud of this ASSOS innovation.) They serve double duty: as ventilation slots, and to allow you access to your pockets without having to manoeuvre the jacket.
  • Taped seams on front, shoulder and rear panels.
  • Rear panel emergency pocket.
  • Extended rear panel to protect lower back from road spray and dirt.

RS.sturmPrinz is the ultimate, racing-specific ASSOS rain jacket. If you ride a lot, all year round, and cannot be bothered if it rains or not, then the sturmPrinz is for you. Yes, a little bit costly, but a strategic master item to compliment your wardrobe for a long time to come. Engineered to be a lifetime companion. It’s good to know you have it, just in case.

Pair this with The hK.sturmNussse Knicker. It can be used as a protective shell over your ASSOS shorts, knickers or tights in wet riding conditions. Designed to create an ultra compact lower-body leg-protection garment that insulates without hindering movement

THE CONSTRUCTION
The hK.sturmNuss features five pattern pieces, three different textiles and nine components. Central panels - the most exposed to rain - made of TRITON V2, ensure maximum protection. Side panels, made of ultralight four-way stretch TRITON V1, ensure the sturmNuss follows your pedalling movements.

  • Siliconized calf gripper, patterned to fall just below the kneecap.
  • ASSOS halfshort-specific waistband construction eliminates unnecessary abdominal pressure.
  • Taped seams, where it makes sense, to improve water repellency.
  • Racing cut. Ergonomic shape fits the body in the cycling position. Clicks on. Follows the body’s movements without restricting them.
