2011 Giant Faith - The Green Machine!
Posted: Nov 29 2010 in Reviews
North Shore ready, the 2011 Giant Faith 0 has arrived. This green machine is quite possibly the perfect North Shore slaying machine. The specs on this bike are fantastic, from the Avid Elixir CR’s to RockShox Totem RC2 DH Air fork. Other highlights of the bike are the Hydroformed tubing and the Overdrive headtube(tapered head tube).
The Maestro suspension is one of the most effective designs on the market, allowing for an incredibly efficient pedalling platform as well as the ability to take the big and small bumps you are going to throw in its path. Our local trails push suspension designs to their limits, and the Faith is going to stand up to it all - smooth bobsled berms and the cobblestone anti-erosion rock-work of CBC.
If you are wondering how the bike will handle the big stuff, ask Kurt Sorge about his 2nd place victory at Redbull Rampage!
Having steeper angles than your typical DH race bike allows the Faith to pick its way down our slower more technical trails. Often with a super slack angle (64*) a bike will be a bit more challenging to maneuver in tight situations. The Faith comes with a second set of dropouts allowing you to choose 66.75* or 66.24* for your head angle.
For more info on the bike, or to take it out for a quick spin, swing by the shop. We love to talk bikes!
